Webinar: Trauma Informed Parenting

Feeling safe and having a safe adult to be able to talk to about anything is paramount. This prioritizes physical and emotional consistent care and reliable routines build security. Understanding how intergenerational trauma can impact a family unit as a whole and how important it is for adults to be working on their own healing journeys. Our nervous system can have a profound impact on a child’s nervous system, repeating generation after generation until one generation starts a healing journey and changes everything for generations to come. In this workshop you will start to learn how to self- regulate, and help your child regulate their nervous system. How important connection and presence is, validating feelings, giving children choices and involving them in problem-solving. Understanding trauma, signs to look for in a child who may have experienced trauma. Trauma among children is a lot more common than people may believe.

Webinar: Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) & emotional well-being check

Adverse childhood experiences are potentially traumatic events that occur in childhood, such as abuse, a parent with a mental health struggle, substance abuse problems, parental separation. Many people will have experienced at least one adverse childhood experience, and the higher a person’s score, the higher chance of the person having mental health and chronic health struggles. We will go over the adverse childhood experience test and address emotional well-being check, how to start to heal our nervous system and create healthy changes in a person’s life. Addressing self-care and compassion.

Webinar: Anxiety, stress & emotional well-being check

We address nervous system health. Learning to recognize anxiety’s physical manifestation and addressing how stress and anxiety can impact us. Learning what emotions are under our anxiety and stress. Using resourcing, deep breathing and grounding, to help regulate a person’s nervous system. Developing self-care, self-compassion routines and addressing lifestyle adjustments to living a healthy life. Seeking peer support and community, will be addressed in this workshop.

Webinar: Sexual trauma & nervous system health

The world health organization states that one in three women will experience sexual or physical abuse in their life. Where there is great pain, deep healing can take place. There is hope. We address nervous system health, addressing stage one trauma recovery. Finding safety, stability, connection and community. Using resourcing and grounding techniques, to help regulate a person’s nervous system. Addressing fight, flight and freeze. Developing self-care routines, and fostering supportive relationships.

Webinar: Abuse & nervous system health

The world health organization states that one in three women will experience sexual or physical abuse in their life. There are many forms of abuse: emotional, psychological, spiritual, financial, racial and narcissist abuse. Any type of abuse can have a profound impact on a person’s life and their nervous system health. Knowing the red flags to watch for, learning to listen to our own gut, can help prevent us from entering abusive relationships. Learning to create strong boundaries. Creating a healthy circle of support and processing our emotions can be a gateway to start to a person’s healing journey.

Webinar: Grief & nervous system health

There are many studies that repeatedly show that your immune system is compromised when you have prolonged grief because of profound stress and stress hormones suppress the immune system. Grief can have a major impact on a person’s nervous system, leading to fatigue, sleep issues, and physical tension, memory issues, and emotional dysregulation. Processing emotions, building social connections and spending time in nature can be pathways to healing. Taking baby steps, one step a day.

Webinar: Why is it important to allow ourselves to feel all emotions?

Our emotions are a gift from God. Our emotions are messages and can be part of the discernment process when we bring it to reason and prayer. When we push our emotions down this can lead to mental health struggles such as anxiety and depression, chronic health, high blood pressure and weakened immunity, While damaging relationships by making a person numb or disconnected and hindering authentic connection to themself and to others. These emotions do not go away, they build up manifesting as physical symptoms or outbursts and suppressing emotions can lead to depression, anxiety and stress. Unhealthy coping mechanisms, substance abuse, overworking, binge eating, social media addictions all in attempt to push unwanted emotions down. We explore the steps we can start to take to start to feel, recognize, and name our emotions becoming more present with ourself and with our loved ones.
